After the impressive win of the Tim McIntosh trained Absolute Trust on Friday at Muswellbrook, connections can’t help but have one eye on the upcoming Country Championships with their talented gelding.
Registering his second win from just three career starts, the other run was a promising 4th in a TAB Highway, the son of Trusting easily accounted for his rivals over 1280m suggesting the 1400m of a Country Championship heat is well within his capabilities.
Absolute Trust would likely need to win again before the HNWRA Country Championships heat on 8th March at Tamworth to gain a start however at the very least, he looks to be a very promising horse going forward.
The Gwenda Markwell trained Gemmahra became the first horse to claim the new $50,000 BOBs Gold Bonus when the mare made it a one act affair over 1500m in the Benchmark 66 Hcp feature. Gemmahra ($5.50) jumped to the lead early and was never headed with Chad Lever onboard beating the $2.15 favourite She’s Ideel by 2.5 lengths.
