Shaelee is from a racing family and spent much of her childhood at the races and in the showring. Horses and racing continue to be a passion which she shares with her young family.
Shaelee brings to the Board more than 20 years experience delivering economic development outcomes, with a focus on place making, infrastructure lead investment and creating memorable visitor and event experiences. Her strengths are in corporate governance, stakeholder management, project management and advocacy.
Before moving to the Hunter, she was involved in the master planning of the Gold Coast Turf, Magic Millions and training precinct, and other multi-government projects such as Gold Coast Light Rail, revitalisation of the Gold Coast CBD and Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast Chinatown and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
She is excited to be on the Board and believes that Muswellbrook Race Club and the equine industry will play an important role in the growth of tourism and liveability of the area.
